13.2 Three Facts
Composition over borrowing. Of ~50,000 words, only 57 are loans — 31 from Kel'vash, 26 from Moryn, each ratified by the Guild of Scribes and adapted to local grammatical use. The examples combine selected core roots strung together by forty-one affixes in a rigid order (→ rhu [Thexar-IX, Sha-El 07, "Sha-Ruun Ven-El"]).
A finite declarative marks observation (-ven), inference (-zal), report (-mor) or quotation (-thar). A collective Moryn message uses -mor and identifies the shoal as its source. Neither an individual nor a collective source guarantees truth.
A name is a sentence. Khar'Vex is "Giver of Light," Théxar "Land of the Living" — and an opaque name preserves its own history. Naming expresses hopes, and transparency is a norm (→ rhu [Thexar-IX, Sha-El 08, "Ven-Khal Sha-Ruun"]).
