Thexar-II Sha-El 15: Vokh-Ven Thar-El — The History of the Space Era

"The first step into space — a step into immortality. Because as long as we fly — we live." — Thash-Ven, first cosmonaut of Théxar, +480 Y.E.

Ruun-ak rass: → rhu [Thexar-I, Ruun 09, "Thar-Vek Rass-Ven"], → rhu [Thexar-I, Ruun 28, "Théxar Xha-Sha Mor"], → rhu [Thexar-I, Ruun 32, "Khar'Vex Khal-sha"] Mor-ven: Space era began +480 — first orbital flight. Three and a half millennia → full-scale space infrastructure: orbital stations, satellite systems, moon exploration, first interstellar probe. Key milestone: orbital elevator (+3 000). Next stage: second elevator (~+4 080), Xhel base expansion (+4 200).

The beginning of the long journey
The beginning of the long journey

15.1 Early Cosmonautics

Year Achievement Ship / Mission
+480 First orbital flight "Khar-Veks-1" (pilot Thash-Ven)
+520 First long-lived automatic satellite "Ser-Mor"
+600 First flight to Serrin "Ven-Khal" (unmanned)
+1 200 First landing on Serrin "Khal-Ven" (manned)
+2 100 First landing on Thel "Tel"
+3 300 Permanent base on Thel "He-3-1"

First orbital flight (+480, "Khar-Veks-1") = result of six decades of rocket programs begun at the Academy of Khar-Vexar. Pilot Thash-Ven — first Xha'ri to leave the home planet (→ rhu [Thexar-I, Ruun 28, "Théxar Xha-Sha Mor"]).

15.2 Development of Infrastructure

Period Infrastructure
+800 – +1 200 First orbital stations
+2 800 GNSS satellite system (6 → 24)
+3 000 Orbital elevator (1)
+4 000 48 satellites, 24 stations

Key milestone — orbital elevator (+3 000, "Khar-Tor"): radically reduced cost of delivering cargo to orbit → space infrastructure economically viable (→ rhu [Thexar-I, Ruun 09, "Thar-Vek Rass-Ven"]). Second elevator under construction (completion ~+4 080).

15.3 Exploration of the Moons

15.3.1 Serrin

First landing on Serrin (+1 200) — most important stage of near-space exploration. Serrin, largest moon, became a base for research programs and, in the future, resource extraction.

15.3.2 Thel

Thel — a moon with carbon-rich surface material rich in helium-3. First landing (+2 100), permanent base (+3 300, "He-3-1"), automation of extraction → planetary-scale energy resource: most of the He-3 for fusion energy comes from its surface (→ rhu [Thexar-I, Ruun 33, "Khar-mor rass Thel-ak-mor Khal-vex"]).

15.4 Beyond the System

In +3 800 an interstellar probe was launched toward the nearest star (5.2 ly). As of +4 028 it continues its flight — the first artificial object to leave the limits of the Khar'Vex system (→ rhu [Thexar-II, Sha-El 07, "Xha-Thar-El"]).

Projects to expand the Xhel base (+4 200) and the second elevator (~+4 080) indicate the direction of the next stage — turning the Khar'Vex system into a unified industrial zone.

Ruun Ven

  1. Space era began with first orbital flight (+480, "Khar-Veks-1").
  2. Landings: Serrin (+1 200), Thel (+2 100); base on Thel (+3 300).
  3. Infrastructure: stations (+800 – +1 200), GNSS (+2 800), elevator (+3 000), 48 satellites + 24 stations (+4 000).
  4. Interstellar probe launched +3 800 toward the nearest star.
  5. Next stage: second elevator and Xhel base expansion.

Construction and project status in this chronicle is recorded as of 4028. The targets 4080 and 4200 do not establish that the corresponding facilities have been completed.
